Measure your wrist first, then compare it with the bracelet's listed wrist-fit range. Bead diameter, bracelet circumference and wrist measurement are different numbers. A stretch cord does not mean one bracelet fits every wrist.
How to measure your wrist
- Use a flexible tape, or a narrow strip of paper and a ruler.
- Wrap it around the place you intend to wear the bracelet. Keep it in contact with the skin without pulling tight.
- If using paper, mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure to the mark.
- Record the measurement and unit. Compare it with the product's stated wrist fit, rather than selecting by bead diameter.
For unit conversion, 10mm equals 1cm and 1 inch equals 2.54cm. Keep your measurement and the product specification in the same unit.
Which measurement means what?
| Measurement | What it describes | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Wrist fit | The stated range of wrist sizes for a design. | Compare with your measured wrist. |
| Bead size | A bead's diameter or length, depending on its shape. | Compare the visual scale of different beads. |
| Bracelet circumference | A measurement of the strand or bracelet. | Ask how it was measured if the listing does not explain; do not substitute it for wrist fit. |
| Wrap length | The length of a longer strand. | Confirm fit and intended wraps for that design. |
Two actual product examples
The 9mm Kynam barrel bracelet lists 9mm beads, 17cm bracelet circumference and a 15–16cm wrist fit. These measurements describe different things: the listing does not state that it fits a 17cm wrist.
The Irregular Heartwood bracelet lists 12–13mm bead length, 17.5cm bracelet circumference and a 15–16cm wrist fit. Compare the photographs as well as the measurements. Check each product page for its current specifications.
What if the listing has no wrist-fit measurement?
Ask before ordering. Email support@passionvita.com with the product link, your wrist measurement and whether you prefer a close or loose fit. Do not assume that adding the same allowance to every design will work, especially across larger beads, cord bracelets and wraps.
Buying a bracelet as a gift
Try to obtain the recipient's wrist measurement. An existing bracelet can be a useful reference, but tell support how it was measured and what type of fastening it has. Confirm packaging, delivery timing and return eligibility separately from size.
Should a stretch bracelet leave pressure marks?
Choose a comfortable fit that does not pinch or restrict movement. Stop wearing a bracelet that feels too tight and ask about the appropriate size.
Does a mala always wrap three or four times?
No single wrap count should be assumed. Check the actual strand length, bead size, fastening and wrist-fit notes for the product.
